Lucas Werger

Lucas currently resides in his hometown of Peterborough, Ontario. He began his formal training with the Haliburton School of Arts through the Sir Sandford Fleming College's Portfolio Program and continued his studies in the four year BFA program at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University. There he studied under the guidance of some important Canadian artists and instructors such as the late Gerald Ferguson. In Lucas' final year at NSCAD University, he was the recipient of the Molly Appeal Art Award for his still life painting "Nova Scotian Wildflowers". Lucas has sold paintings through the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia's Art Sales and Rental Gallery, was a featured artist in the 2007 Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour, and has created paintings for private commissions.
